So comfortable! Purchased this as a gift for a friend but I also tried it out before giving it to them. It was so comfortable even when fully loaded down with my laptop, etc. I really like the additional storage on the side straps. Got lots of compliments on how it looks too. October 25, 2011
Mobex - Magnificent Mobex is a brilliant design daypack! I was looking at a Columbia store for a daypack to replace the canvass bag that I carried with survival gear up 30 Fourteeners last year. When I saw the Mobex, I knew that I had found the design that met all my needs. The tent fabric has incredible water resistance. [I hit it with 303 Water Repellent for extra protection.] The many pockets throughout the pack is idea for my essentials: caribiners can fasten inside and out to secure my StrikeForce lighter; two headlamps; tinder and tissues; water bottles; down jacket; trail foods; Nikon camera; sunglasses; reading glasses; journal; and GPS. One of the primary features that make this daypack better than many others is the hip strap which supports the weight across the lower torso and prevents the feeling that I am going to lose my pack when scrambling up a mountain. I love this daypack! May 19, 2011
Super Light, Less Sweat! I was very particular in my search for a backpack for biking, and I'm convinced I couldn't have found a more perfect bag! Everything about this backpack has been well thought out. My main concern when searching for a backpack was the circulation on the back while biking (I bike to work and can get very sweaty). Ideally I wanted a bag that had a layer of mesh that separated the bag from my back, but found that the unique construction of those bags took away space from the inside storage, and I couldn't compromise storage. This backpack turned out to be great in keeping me cool and it has ample storage. When my boyfriend and I go biking I carry his stuff in this bag along with mine, and the back is naturally so light and form-fitting I barely notice I'm carrying anything at all. I love it! p.s. The color is a little dimmer than what you see in the photo, but in the sun it looks bright. March 13, 2011
Love it... Versatile light weight pack My husband and I have been sharing one of these packs on mountain bike rides and trail runs and love it so much it's time to get a second. It's the only pack I forget I'm wearing. October 13, 2010
Great Pack I bought this pack for adventure racing and it works great. Love the lash down points on the frame to attach my paddles, and my trail shoe fit great into mesh pockets. I am able to reach and access items in the top and bottom pockets without the need to remove the pack from my back. Very comfortable. I added some s-biners to the velcro tabs on the internal divider to make it easier to open and close. Also, if you going to add hydration to this pack, plan on using a 2L badder, the 3L didn't fit well and made the pack uncomfortable. May 7, 2010
Form AND Function I was delighted to see the innovative take on the active backpack. I was absolutely won over by the design! Next step was putting it on. Cinching up the straps, I was easily able to secure the pack. I tested it with different loads, and it performs just as well with nothing in it as with my laptop and a change of clothes. I used it both running and biking (well, no running with the laptop). The pockets are well thought out, from the very useful waistbelt pocket, the upper zip, and the elastic side pockets. Being able to fully open the pack was a great feature, and the internal flat pocket served me well for storing papers. The water repellent shell was solid, but I never was rained on for more than about 45 minutes. I would definitely buy and recommend this pack. I am always hesitant to put form over function, but here they coincide seamlessly! May 5, 2010
innovative pack! i love my new Mobex. it is super light, works and feels like a little tent. lumbar strap with hip pockets are handy. i've never seen anything like it. everyone asks me where I got it. April 5, 2010
Heinously Ugly I really liked the idea of this backpack - innotvative, light, great features. However, when I pulled it out of the box I almost hurled because the colors were so bad. I ordered the orange model and it did not look like the pictures on the web site. The body of the pack was the burnt orange that you see in the pictures but the straps were made from a different material and were bright - and I mean bright - orange. The blue poles were also really bad. The two colors in combination were really too much - I wouldn't be caught dead wearing that thing on the trail. March 17, 2010
